RITUALS – As much as a beautiful space can bring you solace in your day-to-day, there’s another element; arguably harder to master that will bring you even more balance and harmony to your space and your mind… rituals.

Rituals have been a part of human-kind since the beginning, across all cultures and geographies. Yet, as the pressure of modern-day society continues to overwhelm, simple rituals (like your morning walk or journalling) are often the first we let go when life gets challenging. To help you get back on track, we are sharing 3 reasons why your morning ritual - however it may look to you – is just as important as the aesthetic alchemy you create in your home.

  1. Improved mental health & overall wellbeing – When you create a solid and consistent morning ritual or rhythm it takes the thinking out of it. It’s one less thing you have to worry about during the morning rush. In return? A greater feeling of focus and drive. Making you feel more grounded, connected and in-control of the day ahead.
  2. Calms anxiety – Morning anxiety is not uncommon. If you deal with this feeling, morning rituals might be your salve. They help to protect your peace by time-blocking and setting boundaries and they promote the act of self-care, through ‘me-time.’ As a result morning rituals help to boost self-love and confidence, therefore helping those common anxious thoughts you might have.
  3. Improves productivity – Believe it or not, creating a structured morning ritual helps to keep you productive throughout the whole day, not just those short hours in the morning. By starting the day right, it helps you to feel more accomplished and organised, therefore creating a stronger drive to tackle whatever tasks lie in front of you for the rest of the day.

So… as much as we love to talk about the importance of creating a beautiful space for your mind. Other elements, such as morning rituals are just as important to creating a holistic feeling of calm and solace.

What do your morning rituals look like for you? We’d love to hear!
