A beautiful carbon steel knife with a smooth timber handle, made in Spain by Pallares Solsona. The city of Solsona in Spain is world renowned for its knife making industry, a tradition which dates back to the 16th century. Pallares Solsona has been family owned and run since 1917 and throughout its history has aimed to use the best quality of materials available. Each knife is hand sharpened, stamped and oiled. These knives, if cared for correctly, will last for years.
Note: The carbon steel blade and nail in the handle will patina over time, we believe this adds to the rustic beauty and story of each knife.

Care
Carbon steel is a stronger and harder cutting blade than stainless steel, it is also easier to sharpen. However, it does require extra care and may oxidise if not correctly maintained.
- To avoid rusting, it is recommended that carbon steel blades are kept well oiled. To clean, wipe the blade with a damp cloth and immediately dry and put away.
- Do not soak in water and do not place in the dishwasher. To reduce the frequency of re-sharpening, wooden chopping boards are recommended.
- If your carbon steel blade is beginning to rust, use a scouring pad and and acid, such as vinegar and gently rub it on the affected area. After the rust has been removed, dry the blade, re-sharpen and oil to prevent future rusting.
