These handwoven Tonga baskets have been made for Imprint House by a women's co-operative in Zimbabwe under Fair Trade conditions.
Traditionally these baskets are used to carry maize or sorghum from the fields. But over the years they have become popular as a decorative feature in homes all over the world. You can use them in your kitchen or dining area for storing and displaying fruit or hang them on the wall.
You can insert a hook or simply hammer a nail through a hole in the basket to hang.
